Wreaths Across America honors veterans in grand ceremony

During a recent government meeting, representatives discussed two significant resolutions aimed at honoring veterans and celebrating military history.

The first resolution highlighted the upcoming Wreaths Across America event, which honors veterans by placing wreaths on their graves, particularly at Arlington Cemetery. Representative Razi, who introduced the resolution, emphasized the event's importance and encouraged community participation, noting that it passes through his district at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial. The resolution received unanimous support from the committee, reflecting a shared commitment to honoring those who have served.

The second resolution, authored by Representative Webster, celebrates the 388th birthday of the United States National Guard on December 13. Originally sponsored by the retired Representative Kinsey, the resolution was reintroduced to ensure the occasion is recognized. Representative Webster, who has personal ties to the National Guard, expressed the organization's value to Pennsylvania and the nation. The resolution previously passed the House with a significant majority of 202 to 1.

Both resolutions underscore the ongoing efforts to recognize and celebrate the contributions of veterans and military personnel, fostering a sense of community and respect for those who serve.
