Woodbury Police Launch Pink Patch Project for Breast Cancer Awareness

The session opened with an open forum, where community member Donna Stafford highlighted the City of Woodbury Public Safety Department's participation in the Pink Patch Project. This initiative, which coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, allows residents to purchase pink patches worn by local police and fire departments. Stafford, a breast cancer survivor of 19 years, expressed her gratitude for the community's support and announced that proceeds from the patch sales would be donated to a local breast cancer oncology clinic.

Following the open forum, the council moved to the consent agenda, which included routine items to be enacted by a single motion. Council Member Wilson raised a question regarding item 6F, prompting the council to pull this item for further discussion. The remaining items from the consent agenda were approved unanimously. The meeting underscored the council's commitment to community engagement and support for local health initiatives.
