Portland leaders clash over future of vital services

In a recent government meeting, discussions surrounding the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) highlighted a divide among officials regarding its future and implications for Portland's vulnerable populations. Sarah Fisher, a community advocate, emphasized the potential negative impact on essential services if the IGA were to be abandoned, urging the council to allow the newly elected mayor and city council to take charge of the agreement. Conversely, Multnomah County Commissioner Sharon Myron strongly disagreed with Fisher's assertions, labeling them as scare tactics.
