Community leaders unite for hurricane recovery efforts

Project manager Justin Garland provided an overview of the initiative, which was initiated in response to concerns raised by city staff about through traffic on Shawkrill Avenue. The project aims to address traffic issues and improve safety in the area, particularly for those navigating through downtown Palatka.

Garland's presentation included a historical context for the project, noting that discussions began approximately a year ago. The FDOT team, including Garland and colleague Meg Ross, engaged with attendees via Zoom to outline the project's objectives and gather feedback from local officials.
