School Board Faces Pressure to Address Overcrowding Crisis

In a recent government meeting, officials discussed the pressing need to address overcrowding at Bernal Middle School, which is projected to reach approximately 2,000 students in five years if no action is taken. Officials noted that while projections for student numbers have been made, they do not revisit these estimates once completed.

Current figures indicate Monticello Ranch has 86 students, Gordons Grove has 32, and Veranda has eight. The projections assume an average growth of 125 sales per year in Veranda, which is expected to increase student numbers over time.
