Putnam County celebrates record voter turnout and community spirit

In a recent government meeting, the election supervisor of Putnam County expressed gratitude to staff, election workers, and the canvassing board for their dedication during a particularly busy election year. The supervisor highlighted the contributions of approximately 175 election workers and acknowledged the leadership of Judge Morris, who has chaired the canvassing board since 2000, and county commission representative Leota Wilkinson for her support through three elections this year.

The meeting also celebrated a record voter turnout, with 80.5% participation, surpassing the previous record of 72.7%. The supervisor emphasized the importance of civic engagement, urging residents to remain active in future elections and to honor veterans through their voting choices.
