Applebee's set to reopen with exciting renovations

Applebee's is set to celebrate a re-grand opening on November 23rd, following recent interior renovations aimed at refreshing the dining experience for the community. While the event will not feature a formal ceremony, local officials are considering a traditional ribbon-cutting if the restaurant expresses interest. Residents are encouraged to visit the newly updated establishment on that day.

In addition to the Applebee's update, the council discussed ongoing development projects in the area, including the construction of a new Panera Bread location. Currently, demolition work is underway, with the east and south walls of the existing structure being taken down. The council anticipates further announcements regarding new businesses in the coming months.

The meeting also touched on the progress of Goldcrest Homes, which is acting as a land developer for a subdivision. They have sold approximately two-thirds of the property to Fieldstone Homes and Alpine Homes, who will begin home construction. The first four homes from Fieldstone have already been permitted, featuring innovative designs that include internal accessory dwelling units, essentially allowing for mother-in-law apartments.

Concerns regarding the site's high water table were addressed, with officials noting that the land has been raised significantly to accommodate proper drainage and sewer system requirements. As construction progresses, the council expects the area to take on a more conventional appearance once homes are built and landscaping is completed.
