Westfield celebrates surge in new businesses and childcare options

In a recent government meeting, local officials highlighted a surge of new business developments in Westfield, underscoring the community's growing economic vitality. Councilman Saunders and other members attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Apple Montessori School, which has quickly garnered popularity, reporting nearly full enrollment and a waiting list for its infant and toddler programs. This reflects a significant demand for quality childcare options in the area.

The meeting also celebrated the relocation of Alpha Fit Club, which is now part of the newly completed first phase of Westfield Crossing on South Avenue. Additionally, the council welcomed new businesses, including Pegasus Sporting Goods, which recently opened next to Sherwin Williams, and luxe threads, a women's clothing store set to launch in the former Ruby and Jenna location.

Looking ahead, the community anticipates the arrival of The Baked Bear, an ice cream sandwich shop from San Diego, and Sweetgreen, which is set to open early next year in the former farmhouse location.
