New volleyball and pickleball complex set to transform sports scene

A new sports complex focused on volleyball and pickleball is in the works, following a proposal discussed at a recent government meeting. The ambitious project, which has been in development for over three years, aims to establish a facility that spans nearly 100,000 square feet, featuring 10 indoor hard courts and 8 indoor sand courts, along with 7 outdoor sand courts.

The initiative, backed by USA Volleyball, is designed to host a variety of events, including professional and amateur tournaments, as well as leagues for children and adults. This facility will be the first of its kind in the region, joining only five similar facilities across the country, and is intended to promote the growth of volleyball in the area.

In addition to the volleyball courts, the proposal includes a complementary pickleball development, which will feature 16 indoor courts and 4 outdoor courts. Plans also call for a bar and restaurant to be integrated into both the volleyball and pickleball facilities, enhancing the overall experience for visitors and participants alike. The project represents a significant investment in local sports infrastructure and aims to foster community engagement through recreational activities.
