Connecticut schools launch innovative data hub for student success

During a recent government meeting, officials discussed the Connecticut RISE Network Inc., a technology-based platform aimed at enhancing student data integration for Kennedy High School and Willoughby High School. The RISE Data Hub will consolidate various student metrics—including attendance, academic performance, discipline records, and college readiness indicators—into a single, accessible location. This initiative is designed to provide real-time insights into student progress, particularly focusing on the critical ninth-grade transition, which is a key accountability measure.

The pilot program will initially involve these two schools, which have secured funding to test the platform's effectiveness. If successful, the program may expand to include additional schools in the future.

In addition to the RISE Network discussion, the meeting also touched on the \"We Are Wallace\" initiative at Wallace Middle School, which is part of a broader commissioner network effort. This program focuses on providing enrichment and engagement activities for students after school.
