Volunteer of the Year honored for Dungeons and Dragons impact

During a recent meeting of the Lee's Summit R7 School District, significant recognition was given to community members who have made impactful contributions to local educational initiatives. Joe Hollingsworth took the stage to honor David Doherty as the \"Volunteer of the Year\" for the East Trails Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) club. Hollingsworth praised Doherty for his dedication and leadership, highlighting his role in fostering a creative and collaborative environment for students. The meeting also featured the recognition of the LSR7 Parent Academy Class of 2024. The cohort, consisting of dedicated parents from over 20 schools, participated in four sessions focused on district operations, academics, and strategic planning. The district expressed gratitude for their commitment and service, celebrating their contributions to the community.
