Election Day chaos bomb threat and long wait times reported

In the recent election, a total of 82,242 registered voters participated, resulting in a voter turnout of 72.35%, with 59,501 ballots cast. However, the election was not without its challenges, including significant wait times at polling locations and security incidents.

On Election Day, some voters faced wait times of up to two and a half hours at various vote centers. To mitigate this issue, a call bank was established to inform voters of current wait times and direct them to centers with shorter lines.

Additionally, a bomb threat was reported on election night around 7 PM, leading to the evacuation of a key vote center. Law enforcement responded promptly, securing the area, and the evacuation was lifted by approximately 9:25 PM, allowing operations to resume.

The election also encountered a power outage on November 13 at 3:14 PM, which lasted about an hour before power was restored by the local utility company, APS. These incidents highlight the logistical challenges faced during the election process, despite the overall successful turnout.
