City orders businesses to comply or face hefty fines

Local Strip LLC was ordered to comply with city regulations by December 18, 2024. If compliance is not achieved by this date, the business will incur a daily fine of $100, capped at $10,000. The city has already spent $510 on the investigation related to this case, which will be added to the total fines if compliance is not met.

Another case involved Inovo PSL Office LLC, which operates a hair salon at 10513 Southwest Meeting Street. The business admitted to violations regarding plumbing work done without the proper permits. The owner, Michael Roberts, acknowledged the issues and requested a 30-day extension to finalize compliance efforts. The city agreed to this extension, allowing the business until mid-December to rectify the situation without incurring fines.

Additionally, MD 2 Go LLC faced similar violations for work done at their property on Southeast Hillmore Drive. The business had also entered a stipulation agreement to achieve compliance by November 19, 2024, but as of the meeting, no progress had been reported. The city is seeking a daily fine of $100 for continued violations, which could also reach up to $10,000.
