Council enforces curfew to ensure safe Halloween festivities

During a recent council meeting in South Plainfield, officials approved the minutes from the previous session and discussed important upcoming events, including Mischief Night and Halloween celebrations.

Councilman Mott motioned to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Councilman Wolock, and the motion passed unanimously with all council members voting in favor.

Additionally, October 31, 2024, was designated as Trick or Treat Day, with activities permitted from 3 PM to 7 PM. The mayor encouraged parents to accompany young children and requested that households signal their participation by keeping porch lights on. He also urged parents to inspect treats for safety, advising them to discard any items that appear tampered with.
