Gregory Bryant champions community with new restaurant venture

In a recent government meeting, Gregory Bryant, a local entrepreneur, presented his plans for a new franchise venture, the Crew Lounge, which aims to create a more intimate dining experience in East Point, Georgia. Bryant, who has deep roots in the community, emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the establishment aligns with local values and addresses community concerns.

Bryant, a retired quality assurance specialist from the Department of Defense, expressed his excitement about introducing a Filipino dish, lumpia, to the menu, alongside seafood offerings such as salmon and lobster mac and cheese. He highlighted the importance of community engagement, stating that he shares the same concerns as local residents and is dedicated to maintaining a positive impact on the area.

Council member Martin Rock acknowledged the significance of the restaurant scene in East Point, noting that the district is home to some of the highest-performing Tax Allocation Districts (TADs) in Georgia. He raised questions regarding the branding of the Crew Lounge, clarifying that it operates under the franchise of Crew Hookah, distinguishing it from other similarly named establishments.

The meeting underscored the importance of local businesses in fostering community ties and economic growth, with Bryant's proposal reflecting a blend of personal passion and professional experience aimed at enhancing the dining landscape in East Point.
