Zoning Advisory Committee Faces Backlash Over Transparency Issues

During a recent government meeting, significant concerns were raised regarding the ongoing efforts of the Zoning Advisory Committee (ZAC) to update the village's zoning code, particularly its implications for the Historic District Commission (HDC). The vice chair of the HDC, Gary, expressed frustration over the lack of consultation with the commission during the drafting process. He stated that the HDC had not been involved in discussions about the proposed changes, contradicting claims made by ZAC Chairman Mark Erglein that stakeholder input had been sought.
