Hopewell council honors longtime volunteer Eric Hendrickson

The council read a proclamation honoring Eric Hendrickson for long service to the borough’s recreation committee and historic preservation commission and presented him a copy at the meeting.

The proclamation credited Hendrickson with organizing the borough’s summer concert series, helping close Columbia Avenue on Halloween for safety and developing a community ball box program to support local play. "Eric is the backbone of our cherished summer concert series," a council speaker said during the presentation.

Members repeatedly thanked him for volunteer work across multiple town programs and said the borough will deliver a special version of the proclamation and recognize him publicly at an upcoming event. No formal vote or budget item accompanied the recognition.
