During the public-comment period at the Oct. 2 work session, residents raised several topics and asked for staff follow-up.
Steve Soloff of Vineland congratulated the commission on NAVAVE funding and asked whether the award triggers a project timeline and about the status of an airport alliance and shared-services work with the sheriff. He also asked about access issues at Laurel Lake in a neighboring township. "Does that trigger some sort of timeline for when it starts and phases and when it might be completed?" Soloff asked. Staff said they could not provide full timelines at the work session but promised follow-up details and referenced earlier planning work.
Tim Sperania thanked commissioners for addressing roadway concerns and recounted a personal EMS experience to raise questions about ambulance routing and traffic-light sequencing on routes to the hospital, noting his neighborhood's typical path. Commissioners and staff responded with operational context and said ambulance routing is often left to crews and traffic conditions; one commissioner with ambulance experience said drivers sometimes vary the route. The public-comment period closed after speakers expressed appreciation for follow-up.
