The Stadium District board voted to accept Eide Bailey's proposal to provide interim bookkeeping services until the district secures a permanent firm.
"I move that we accept Eide Bailey's proposal for bookkeeping for the interim until a more final firm is found," said the board member who moved the motion. The motion was seconded and the board voted in favor with no objections.
Mark, the executive director, told the board the firm would handle bookkeeping at a reasonable cost while the district decides on longer-term staffing. The board agreed the interim arrangement will allow staff to get day-to-day finance operations running while auditors finalize recommended approval processes.
The approval was recorded on the agenda after discussion of the district's new banking setup and cash flows. The board did not specify the contract length or dollar value in the public discussion; staff said a written proposal will be provided and a permanent solution will be considered later.
