Christopher Fernandes, State Re-entry Chair, presented the program’s financial position and recent placement statistics for July and August, noting combined account balances of $3,505.96 and program placement success rates ranging from 61%–69% across the reporting months. Fernandes reported total re-entries funded in 2026 at 59 and total program spending to date of $9,770.
Fernandes also said a partner organization had committed to help: "FORA has reached agreed to donate $5,000 to the Kansas Reentry Program," and the gift was expected to be processed once FORA receives state funds. Fernandes said he will present at the ROCK Reentry Conference later in September to improve coordination with KDOC and other stakeholders on how reentry applications should be distributed and what barriers applicants face.
The Re-entry Report was accepted by motion. Fernandes asked chapters to continue fundraising for the program by sending donations payable to KS Reentry.
