Planning-board activity picks up: Jersey Mike’s tenant, GE Vernova work and Rivers Ledge connectivity remain active

Chair (speaker 2) summarized recent planning-board actions: a resolution passed for Jersey Mike’s to occupy the former GNC location at 418 Balltown, and a tenant change application for a barbershop at 1741 Union. Chair also noted GE Vernova is returning with a building addition and signage and that Rivers Ledge/Rivers Run projects still have sidewalk and connectivity issues that require further planning-board follow-up.

Committee members remarked that planning activity has returned after summer and that collaboration with the Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 (chief Enna was thanked for review assistance) is improving project review. The committee reiterated it will bring tricky subdivisions and site-plan issues back to the town board when necessary and flagged an Oct. 19 planning-board meeting for follow-up.
