City schedules special meeting Oct. 15 to consider Dollar General application

Planning staff announced a special planning-commission meeting on Oct. 15 at 06:30 to consider the Dollar General application, which staff said was deemed complete. The item will include preliminary-plat review and consideration of two variances; if the commission recommends approval, staff said the item is scheduled to go to city council on Oct. 21 for street vacation and final site-plan and variance approval.

Dan said the project has a complete application and that staff scheduled the earliest possible commission date given project timing. Commissioners asked about architectural elements and staff said elevations and design standards will be reviewed as part of the submittal and subsequent internal review process.
