Director reports CAPRA recognition after national conference; staff attended NRPA

The acting director told the board that Donnie and Dalton attended the National Recreation and Park Association conference in Philadelphia and that staff had opportunities to meet vendors and peers. The director said the department was honored at a CAPRA accreditation 'best of the best' ceremony and described the accreditation as the result of a five-year process involving staff contributions.

"It was a huge honor to be able to be there last night and get recognized," the director said, thanking board members who had participated in aspects of the accreditation work. The board acknowledged the recognition and thanked staff for the effort.
