Staff posts proposed 2027 budget online; Oct. 9 amendment deadline and Oct. 12 publication step noted

A county staff member said the proposed 2027 budget was delivered and is available online, and that staff will circulate a link and a video presentation. Staff urged supervisors to submit potential amendments for packet inclusion by Oct. 9 so they can be considered by the HR Finance & Property Committee on Oct. 12, which must authorize publication consistent with Wisconsin statutes. The staff member said formal adoption of the budget by the county board is scheduled for Nov. 10.

Staff encouraged supervisors to reach out to the finance director (Fenske) or corporation counsel with amendment proposals and said the budget will be available in the same online location as prior budgets.
