Tanya (speaker 13), human-resources lead, reported the county has migrated many HR workflows to Paycom, met internal satisfaction targets, and will move new employee orientation to a more department-focused digital/on-site hybrid.
"We are now going to have a way for our staff to have 1 voice when it comes to an initiative called SERVES," Tanya said, describing the acronym (service, excellence, respect, value, engage, solve) and plans for recognition, training and promotional materials. HR also described emerging-leaders and administrative-professionals programs intended to build bench strength and increase retention, and said it will work with ACCG and the Carl Vinson Institute to design career paths for future budget cycles.
The department noted plans for tuition reimbursement, a relaunch of wellness programs and the rollout of an online employee directory tied to the Paycom badge photos to improve staff identification and internal communication.
