At its Oct. 1 meeting the East Hampton Town Board approved a slate of routine resolutions, including acceptance of claims on warrant No. 10a totaling $3,187,619.61 and related approvals for budget modifications, appointments, and contracts. The board also approved contracts and retainer increases for outside counsel on various matters and authorized intermunicipal agreements for legal services tied to the regional Community Preservation Fund.
Several residents pressed the board for greater transparency about warrant details and vendor payments. Longtime commenter David Bridal urged the board to post vendor claims and supporting documents with agendas the way some local school districts do, noting public interest in how town funds are spent. The board approved the resolutions by voice votes and roll calls where required; several appointments and public‑hearing notices were included in the consent approvals.
