Sumia Tahir asked how students can prepare for a future in which artificial intelligence may displace jobs. Council member Will Giwando acknowledged uncertainty about exactly which jobs will disappear but urged students to "do well in school, work hard, stay innovative, stay curious," and pointed to career and technical education as a concrete way to gain durable skills. He also relayed an example attributed to NVIDIA's CEO about infrastructure roles — electricians, plumbers and engineers — remaining in demand as AI requires physical and technical support.
Giando emphasized the council’s role in preparing students through expanded CTE programs and said the county will continue adapting education to real‑world applications. "The best thing you can do right now is to just do well in school and be ready, to learn those skills so you can adapt to whatever's coming," he said, and urged students to follow local work sessions that shape training programs.
