A court official told supervisors that St. Croix County will host the district judges meeting for the 14-county Northwest Wisconsin region, bringing about 28 judges to the county for updates and business. The official highlighted Judge Waterman's published reflections on juror feedback and said staff will coordinate security and logistics for the event.
The official also introduced Kathy Kittle as clerk of court elect, saying "we have, with us today, Kathy Kittle, who we believe as of November 3 will be the Clerk of Court elect for St. Croix County." Kittle won the August primary and has been serving as interim clerk while the district court administrator and other clerks help onboard her.
The official noted the adult treatment court funded by the TAD grant will end Dec. 31 and that county leaders, including the district attorney, will meet to explore alternatives for those who had been served by the treatment court.
