During the call meeting Mr. Carter presented several budget items and recommended grouping two budget amendments (one to the general purpose school budget and one for the Discovery Academy budget) for approval. "I'd like to recommend this grouping those 2 together," he said, and the motion was made by Mr. McKinley and seconded by Dr. Rausch.
A board roll-call reflected multiple 'Yes' responses from members and the grouped amendments were advanced. Mr. Carter also noted a resolution to accept a "20 six-twenty 7 state special education preschool grant" intended to help special education students and recommended grouping that resolution with the budget items under consideration.
A short clarification followed when a board member asked whether a reimbursement referred to the West Ridge track project; Mr. Carter clarified the item referenced a program called 'project on track' (a student-support program), not the West Ridge track construction.
The board moved and seconded subsequent procedural motions and verbally approved the recommended package of budget amendments and the grant acceptance during the call.
