County grants staff said the grantee networking event has strong initial interest with 53 RSVPs, including commissioners and department heads, and will take place in the Ground Floor conference room at 200 College Street with eight tables and two-minute overview slots for each organization. "So far, we've had 53 RSVPs, which includes some members from county management. We have a couple of commissioners already signed up," Angeline Johnson said.
Staff described logistics (organizations arrive 12:30–1 to set up; event ends 2:30 with breakdown by 3:00) and asked committee volunteers to email their availability for setup and breakdown. Committee members asked whether the event replaces site visits; staff said it is the first event of its kind designed to allow all committee members to interact with organizations and encourage cross-organization collaboration.
