CES95 board enters executive session for board self-evaluation under state statute

At 9:37 AM during the Sept. 26, 2026 board retreat, Vice President Catherine Field moved and Dr. Renada Greer seconded a motion "to enter Executive Session at 9:37 AM for the purpose [of] self-evaluation, practices and procedures or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the public body is a member.' 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(16)." The board recorded a roll-call vote in favor: Field, Cawthon, Major, Greer and McHenry; no votes against; Oliver and Henderson absent.

Executive Session adjourned at 12:58 PM. The minutes identify Dr. Perry Hill as the person covering the board self-evaluation during the closed session; no public minutes were recorded for the executive-session discussion per statute. The board returned to public session for subsequent agenda items and recorded a voice vote upon reconvening.
