County approves $12,500 match for Great River Housing Trust Fund FY2028 grant application

The board approved Resolution 2026-054 to provide a $12,500 cash match for the Great River Housing Trust Fund's FY2028 grant application. The resolution said the county is a member of the regional nonprofit and that local residents and businesses benefit from the trust fund's programs such as homeowner rehabilitation, down-payment assistance and partnerships with developers to support affordable housing.

A supervising member described prior projects supported by the trust fund, including an upper-story conversion on Jefferson Street and partnership support for local school-related projects. The resolution was described as already being budgeted and will count in next fiscal year planning.
