During the citizen-comment period several speakers urged clearer, earlier and more inclusive communication about facility changes and program relocations. Patton Boyd, a Leander Early College High School junior, said students and faculty felt 'an overwhelming sense of distrust' with the pace and clarity of district communications about possible relocation to Fabian and asked why the campus community was not consulted earlier.
Other parents echoed the call for timely timelines and direct engagement: a pediatrician and volunteer asked for clearer dates for site work and construction related to bond-funded elementary projects and said parents who voted for the bond expect the district to follow through. Another speaker who identified themselves as a private citizen asked the district not to create another 'Reed–Fabian' situation when opening new elementary schools, urging preservation of older campus communities.
Superintendent Chris Clark and staff acknowledged gaps and said administration would improve the cadence of updates. Staff also said they had planned a design-committee approach and would invite parents and staff to serve; they committed to creating a public website centralizing documents, timelines and meeting notes so the community could track progress more easily.
