Butterfly House application continued to Nov. 5 at applicant’s request

Staff informed the board that the applicant for the property known as the "Butterfly House" (project at 26320 Scenic Road, Carmel) requested a continuance to November 5, 2026, to provide additional analysis supporting the nomination. The request was made "through the chair" by staff; the board opened the item to public comment (none present) and proceeded to a motion to continue the hearing.

A motion to continue the item was made and seconded; the chair called for a voice vote and recorded assent. The Chair announced, "Continuance is granted and that's for next month," and the item will return on November 5 with the applicant's supplemental materials. Staff indicated the continuance was sought because staff had proposed a position of denial and the applicant wants additional information to address staff concerns.
