At the end of the Oct. 1 meeting staff announced the city received a Hennepin County grant to revisit the city-center master plan and scheduled a joint council–planning commission kickoff work session for Oct. 22. Staff said they expect the master-plan effort to take about six months and invited commissioners to join a task force.
Staff also reported two unauthorized Flock cameras had been removed and discussed next steps. The city’s building activity count was shared: staff reported 16 single-family homes built in September, a slight increase from August.
Commissioners prioritized a short list of ordinance topics for an upcoming workshop and the November meeting, including garage and parking standards, swimming-pool/accessory-structure rules, and temporary-sign enforcement. Chair and staff encouraged focused, data-driven guidance ahead of the work session.
