Director Jennifer Ambrose told the committee that the communications report is in members' packets and highlighted September metrics: "our impressions were up over a 100%. Engagements were up 236%. Link clicks were up 670, almost 4%." She attributed the gains to the volume and content of posts.
Ambrose said Polco (a community-engagement platform) was approved and that she is building an initial data dashboard focused on housing; she described work to select housing-related data points to share and embed on the county website. Ambrose also said a community survey project is underway and that website accessibility compliance work continues, with PDFs showing roughly 94% accessibility in current scans.
She outlined a yearlong partnership with students at the LASD Tech Center in marketing and entrepreneurship: morning classes will develop campaign concepts for the foster grandparent program, afternoon classes will work on a recycling-program campaign, and digital marketing students in spring will produce photography and video.
