Public-works staff (S3) presented a set of construction change orders and final closeouts for county road and bridge projects. For the Tanner Bridal Road bridge replacement, deeper sound rock required longer rock sockets and additional reinforcing steel, increasing construction by $42,037.80; staff said the majority of that cost will be included in BRO funding and the county's portion is around 1%.
"Overall, this change orders and increase in construction by $42,037.80," said the public-works official (S3). Commissioners approved that change order by motion. The commission also approved a $3,555 change order for Tanner Bridge Road safety improvements (tree clearing for electric-line realignment) and a $5,695.48 addition to the 2026 chip-seal contract to reflect actual quantities; staff summarized that chip seals covered about 24–26 miles this year at roughly $500,000–$600,000 total county spending.
