The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District board heard a presentation and approved certification of the schools' Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act self-assessments for the 2025'2026 reporting year. Jennifer Komaroski, the district anti-bullying coordinator, presented the initial school-level grades and explained the review and submission process to the New Jersey Department of Education.
Komaroski said the self-assessment is completed annually by each building's safety and climate team and covers eight core elements including training, policy, procedures, curriculum and reporting and investigation processes. "This self assessment is completed yearly by the building level by the school's safety and climate team that's comprised of our anti bullying specialist, needs building, administration, staff, and a parent representative," she said. The scores presented were Voorhees 76 out of 78 and North Hunterdon 77 out of 78; after board certification tonight the district will submit the forms to the NJDOE and receive final state-determined scores later (likely in May).
