At its Sept. 29 meeting the Clallam County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of interagency agreements and grant-related contracts.
Highlights:
- Top Left Trails Co-op: the board approved an extension to the contract using 2026 hotel-motel tax funds to extend completion to Dec. 31, 2027 after a timber-harvest delay.
- Department of Ecology / Washington Conservation Corps: approved a $33,812 agreement to secure four weeks of WCC crew time for parks maintenance, vegetation management and hazardous-tree work.
- Washington State Patrol federal grant pass-through: approved funding to replace an outdated live-scan fingerprint machine in the administrative lobby, matching the jail's updated technology.
- Quileute Valley School District: agreed to provide transition and supported-employment services for eligible students with intellectual and developmental disabilities ($35,200 through 08/31/2027).
- Secure Rural Schools (Title III): approved Amendment 1 to extend a funding/termination timeline with Fire District 3 to 09/30/2028.
The board discussed the district-court services contract with the City of Port Angeles separately (approved later in the meeting) and postponed the Port Angeles public-opinion contract for one week to continue refinements.
Each agreement was approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
