Consultants walked trustees through the planned recruitment timeline, from posting to on-site finalist interviews. They described a process that begins with a public posting and brochure, moves to a confidential alpha-ranked spreadsheet of applicants for trustees, proceeds with virtual 30-minute recorded interviews for semifinalists, and culminates in on-site finalist interviews and community meet-and-greets.
Mark (the consultant) provided sample milestone dates the consultants said they could meet if the board approved materials promptly: applications closing in early to mid-November, an alpha list to the board in late November, virtual semifinal interviews the second week of December, semifinalist deliberations in an executive session on Dec. 9, finalist selection in mid-December, and on-site finalist interviews in Firestone around Jan. 14–15. "We would go ahead and put those in our database... and then what we'll go ahead and do is we'll develop what we call our alpha list," he said.
