Court clerk reports new cases, issues FTAs that may affect license renewals

Court staff (Speaker 8) reported opening four new cases this month and issuing failure-to-appear (FTA) notices for several named individuals. "They were some of the 1st tickets that were issued, and they called to try to set up stuff and never followed through. We never would show up to court, so we issued failure to a Pierce file," the clerk said, describing the administrative steps taken.

The clerk explained that driver's-license holds will prevent renewal until the municipal items are paid. Councilors acknowledged the enforcement action and noted administrative consequences for the named individuals; no council action was required beyond receiving the report.
