At Tuesday's meeting the Development, Planning & Sustainability Committee approved three pieces of legislation:
- Ordinance 10‑34‑20‑26: Authorizes a lease of the 5 Point/Collinwood Community Center to the Famicos Foundation for two years with a two‑year option to renew, described in committee as a $1‑per‑year lease to enable continued social services at 813 E. 152nd St.
- Ordinance 9‑21‑20‑26: Vacates portions of streets including West 185th, West 188th and West 190th Streets and a portion of Forestwood Avenue SW to allow consolidation of roughly 30 city‑owned acres north of Cleveland Hopkins Airport intended for semi‑industrial redevelopment.
- Ordinance 9‑27‑20‑26: Authorizes property exchanges with the Cleveland Municipal School District; staff described transfers that would put Jay Lehi Smith Health Center (1110 Saint Clair) and other parcels with CMSD for a new Glenville High School and convey Walton School (3409 Walton Ave.) and Newton D. Baker School to the city for future fire‑station use and redevelopment.
Committee discussion and staff presentations accompanied each item; the Chair announced each ordinance was approved and asked members to sign. The committee did not read vote tallies into the public record during the meeting; follow‑up records will indicate formal votes if and when they are recorded in the legislative management system.
