The Village of Bensenville board approved a public-works change order Sept. 29 that increases the 2026 MFT pavement-patching contract by $52,758.43, yielding a revised final contract amount of $197,774.83. Public Works staff said the original contract was approximately $145,000 and that a purchase order had been approved up to $200,000; the additional funds covered extra paving work including resurfacing the parking lot behind the theater and an adjacent alley.
"So this is our MFP patching program... The contract was actually only $145,000 but the village board did approve a purchase order to go up to $200,000... We used the extra funds to, actually resurface and pave the parking lot behind the theater... That's what we used that additional funds for," staff said. The board voted to approve the change order by roll call, allowing staff to close out the contract.
