The FLVS Foundation told trustees it continues to invest in programs that support students and teachers through industry partnerships and grant-funded initiatives.
Beth Bruner, FLVS Foundation executive director, said the foundation is in its third year of programs supported by a matching grant from the Consortium for Florida Education Foundations and cited partnerships with Lockheed Martin, STARBASE Orlando and Patrick Space Force Base. She said a new collaboration with Florida Blue will provide refurbished laptops to students in need and highlighted an FLVS student art showcase on Capitol Hill.
President and CEO Sam Verghese highlighted student milestones, including a reported 224% year-over-year increase in industry certifications (more than 930 certifications earned in the 2025–26 school year), growth in student clubs (85 clubs with more than 9,400 memberships) and individual student achievements such as national- and international-level athletic and speaking awards.
"We are now in our 3rd year of implementing programs to support students and teachers funded by our matching grant from the Consortium for Florida Education Foundations," Bruner said in her quarterly update. Trustees thanked foundation staff and noted potential additional partnerships and community engagement opportunities.
