County staff told the court that two previously awarded agreements (items 28 and 29) are being terminated because of project timing and will be reissued as items 30 and 31, while other items are new spec buildings. Vince Yoakam said timing and development schedules made termination and reissuance the easier option.
"We're terminating the 2 agreements due to timing and some rearranging of the projects," Yoakam said, noting Panettone is handling several of the projects and that item 33 is being pursued by Gia Mulva. Yoakam added the county is coordinating with the city of Brookshire, which he said had already approved a tax abatement and reinvestment zones for the project located inside city limits.
After questions from commissioners about whether current terms would be held while agreements were reissued, staff replied the existing terms remained in force and described routine vendor coordination. The court then approved items 28 through 33 without recorded opposition.
