Board approves resignations, classified hires and an in-county transfer

The Lauderdale County Board of Education approved five employee resignations, including: Margaret Fincher (Teacher Aide, Lauderdale County Elementary, effective Aug. 21, 2026); Breanna Myrick (Teacher Aide, Brooks High, effective Sept. 14, 2026); Dusty Cole (Teacher, Lauderdale County High, effective Oct. 22, 2026); Winter Prado (LOA Teacher, Brooks High, effective Oct. 2, 2026); and Charles Brown (Bus Driver, Brooks High, effective Sept. 17, 2026). The motion to approve resignations was made by Mr. Randy Burns and seconded by Mr. B.J. Tully; vote was unanimous. (SEG 033–036)

The board also approved classified employee hires listed in Exhibit A for the 2026–2027 academic year, including Danielle Myers and Brittney Johnson as teacher aides at Brooks High on a 184-day calendar. (SEG 086–089)

An in-county transfer recorded in Exhibit B moved Robin Davis from teacher aide to secretary at Brooks High. The transfer motion was made by Mrs. Charlotte Hill and seconded by Mr. Randy Burns and was approved unanimously. (SEG 090–098)

These personnel items were included in the consent agenda and will be processed by Human Resources as indicated in the minutes.
