Debbie Henley, account representative with American Red Cross Blood Services, presented results from the Mayor’s Cup blood-drive challenge and thanked the city for hosting drives at multiple locations, including the Coliseum, City Hall, and Franklin Street.
Henley told the council the city collected 101 units of blood in two months, which she said impacted the lives of 303 people. She added that over the past year Hampton collected 418 units, impacting 1,254 people. "You collected in 2 months a 101 units of blood impacting the lives of 303 people," Henley said.
