Adele Trezino, Special Events Coordinator, gave the board a run-down of fall and holiday programming and attendance trends from summer. She said Eats and Beats drew about 750 people in July and 700 in August (the August event started an hour late because of rain), Splash Bash attracted about 2,700 people after several days of rain, and Meet Your SRO saw about 1,500 attendees.
Trezino listed upcoming dates and asks: the Parkland Dash will be Sunday, Oct. 11; a pumpkin patch opens Oct. 17–18 with regular hours thereafter; a Halloween festival is scheduled for Oct. 23; the farmers market opens in November; Veterans Day observance is Nov. 11 at Veterans Park (she requested a second speaker for that event); and the annual hayride and bonfire is set for Nov. 13 at the Equestrian Center. She encouraged board members to take posters and help promote events.
