The Keystone Heights CRA moved a draft FY26-27 budget and corresponding capital improvement plan to the city council for final approval. Staff summarized the CIP priorities for the coming year: $30,000 for parking design, $40,000 for tennis- and basketball-court lights, an estimated $66,000 for Geneva Jungle park work, $20,000 for facade grants, $40,000 for pocket-park acquisition and design, and a $30,000 museum visitors center cost-share. Total programmed expenditures for the draft fiscal year were listed at about $287,000.
The board approved a motion to combine the FY25-26 amendment with the FY26-27 draft/CIP and forward those items to the city council meeting. Staff said the CIP would be the first such scheduled capital improvement plan for the CRA in several years and emphasized that certain items were carry-forwards from current-year activity (for example, lighting and design costs delayed by procurement). "Total expenditures next year programmed at $287,000," staff stated when listing the CIP items.
"$30,000 for parking design, $40,000 for the tennis court and basketball court lights, ... facade grants at $20,000," the presenter said while outlining next fiscal year's priorities. The item was advanced to the city council for consideration at the 6:00 meeting.
