Council approves minutes with minor edit to Geneva Jungle item

During the consent agenda, a council member asked to amend the minutes from the August 3 meeting to strike a phrase that might lead readers to think a newspaper was the source of misinformation about the Geneva Jungle discussion. The council member said the original newspaper write-up had been accurate, and the concern was that readers might only read a headline later and reach the wrong conclusion. The council accepted the strike-through amendment and proceeded to approve the minutes by voice vote.

The clerk confirmed there were no registered public comments for the CRA portion of the meeting before the consent agenda item. The approved minutes with the requested edit will be entered into the record.
